Welcome to Audio Furnace.
Audio Furnace has been the home of Reid K's (AKA: RK / RCK / Reid) DJ mixes and original production since 2005. It was created as a conduit to release material that I enjoyed, and other like mind artists contributions. Audio Furnace is not a record label, yet. However in time the goal is to eventually release vinyl, cd, and mp3's via online distribution. As it exists today, it provides a home to my mixes and original production.
There will soon be additional contributions from new artists. Please check back again for new material.
History
I started really getting into electronic music in mid 1993. The first real electronic album I bought was The Orb "UFOrb". I continued to collect ambient stylings and soundscapes. I was always a fan of Skinny Puppy, Ministry, and deeply rooted in the likes of Motorhead. A friend of mine (RIP) introduced me to drum and bass in 1997 with Plug's "Drum and Bass for Papa". That was a defining moment, catapulting me head first into all things DNB. As time grew on I discovered the darker side of drum and bass, which melded my favorite elements of metal and electronic music. Today I am still a DNB geek, expanding my awareness into Dubstep, Electro House, and varitable plethora of other genres.
